Photoinitiators

Image
Ultraviolet curing technology (UV technology) is to add a UV photoinitiator  (or photosensitizer) to a specially formulated system (called a photocuring system) to generate active free radicals or cations after absorbing ultraviolet rays (UV), thereby initiating polymerization, Cross-linking and grafting reactions, making it from liquid to solid technology. Photoinitiator for UV curing  technology is an environmentally friendly and cost-effective option because there is no need to remove water at the end of the printing or coating process, and there is no need to capture or incinerate solvents.   UV curing materials are widely used in optical fiber cables (UV curing optical fiber coating materials), printed circuit boards (UV curing photoresists), home appliances (plastic coatings, metal coatings), automotive parts (transparent varnishes, repair paints, reflector lampshades etc.), printing packaging (UV curing inks), wooden furniture and flooring (UV curing coatings). ...

Phosphite Antioxidant

Image
Secondary antioxidants, such as phosphite antioxidant  and thioethers, decompose hydroperoxides into non-radical, non-reactive, and thermally stable products. Therefore, auxiliary antioxidants are also called hydroperoxide decomposers. Phosphites and thioethers antioxidants are widely used hydroperoxide decomposers. Phosphites are most effective at the high temperatures of melt processing operations, while thioethers work best in the solid phase at long-term use temperatures. Secondary antioxidants are used together with primary antioxidants to increase the stability of polymers.   Phosphite Antioxidants are secondary antioxidants that decompose peroxides and hydroperoxides into stable non-radical products. Triphenyl phosphite antioxidants are extremely effective stabilizers during processing and are often used in combination with primary antioxidant to provide good heat stability, color stability, process stability and weatherability to polymers.   For more than 30 years...

Oxanilide UV Absorber

Image
TINTOLL  has been actively involved in the development and application research of innovative light stabilizers since 1989, offering the most comprehensive portfolio of stabilizers: Ultraviolet Absorbers (UVA) and Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS) for effective stabilization against light and weathering harmful effects. In addition to being widely used in various plastic products, light stabilizers are also suitable for water-based (WB), solvent-based (SB), UV-curable and powder coatings, as well as inks, adhesives and sealants.   TINTOLL provides professional formulations for different composite materials. In addition, TINTOLL has also developed UV absorbers with special structures and special applications, such as Oxanilide UV Absorber .   PowerSorb™ 312 is an Oxanilide type UV absorber which is effective for the light stabilization of a broad range of plastics and coatings. This oxanilide UV absorber is less discoloring than conventional UV absorbers, even in alk...

Polymer Stabilizers Application in Plastics & Thermoplastics

Image
Polymer Stabilizers Application in Plastics & Thermoplastics UV Absorbers: Plastics used outdoors are exposed to harmful UV radiation from the sun, which can lead to degradation, discoloration, and reduced mechanical properties. UV absorbers are incorporated into plastic formulations to absorb and dissipate UV radiation, preventing photochemical degradation and maintaining the material's appearance and mechanical integrity. Light Stabilizers: Light stabilizers, including UV absorbers and hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS), protect plastics from the damaging effects of both UV and visible light. They inhibit degradation, cracking, and color changes caused by light exposure, extending the lifespan of plastic products. Antioxidants: Antioxidants are used to protect plastics from oxidation, which can lead to surface degradation, embrittlement, and color changes. By inhibiting the formation of free radicals, antioxidants help maintain the plastic's physical and chemical p...

Polymer Stabilizers Application in Coatings & Paints

Image
Polymer Stabilizers Application in Coatings & Paints UV Absorbers and Light Stabilizers: UV absorbers for coatings and light stabilizers play a crucial role in protecting coatings and paints from the damaging effects of UV radiation and light exposure. In the coatings and paints industry, these polymer additives can be used in applications such as: Exterior Architectural Coatings: Incorporating UV absorbers and light stabilizers into exterior paints and coatings helps prevent color fading, chalking, and degradation caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight. This ensures that buildings maintain their vibrant appearance over time. Automotive Coatings: UV protection is essential for automotive paints to prevent color fading and maintain the glossy finish of vehicles exposed to sunlight and environmental conditions. Antioxidants: TINTOLL Antioxidants are essential for preserving the quality and longevity of coatings and paints by preventing oxidation and degradation. In the Coatin...

Polymer Stabilizers Application in Fuels & Lubricants

Image
Polymer Stabilizers Application in Fuels & Lubricants Lubricants: TinToll's phenolic antioxidants are instrumental in preventing the breakdown of lubricants due to oxidation, which can lead to viscosity changes, sludge formation, and ultimately, reduced lubricating properties. These phenolic antioxidants help maintain the lubricant's stability and integrity over time, extending the lubricant's shelf life and ensuring optimal performance even under high-temperature conditions. Phosphite antioxidants provided by TinToll, a professional antioxidants in engine oil provider, contribute to maintaining the lubricant's resistance to oxidation. They work by scavenging free radicals and inhibiting the chain reactions that lead to oxidative degradation. This helps preserve the lubricant's original properties, reducing the likelihood of viscosity increase and ensuring consistent performance. Thiosynergists from TinToll serve as co-antioxidants, enhancing the overall effe...

Polymer Stabilizers Application in Automobile

Image
Polymer UV Stabilizers for Automotive Components UV radiation from sunlight can cause degradation of automotive surfaces and materials, leading to fading, cracking, and reduced lifespan. TINTOLL UV absorbers for coatings are incorporated into automotive paints, coatings, and plastics to absorb and dissipate harmful UV radiation, preventing damage. Photoinitiators are added to coating formulations, and upon exposure to UV light, they trigger a chemical reaction that leads to rapid curing. UV absorbers for coatings absorb UV energy and transform it into harmless heat, protecting the automotive materials from UV-induced degradation. Light exposure can lead to discoloration, embrittlement, and loss of mechanical properties in automotive parts. Light stabilizers are added to polymers used in interior and exterior parts to prevent degradation caused by light exposure. Benefits of the application: Maintains color stability, mechanical strength, and overall appearance of automotive compon...
